Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is all set to present the Government of India's Union Budget 2021-22 at 11 am today. A sound budget to drive economic recovery after the pandemic and provide relief to the average Indian is a need of the hour.

As India emerges from the Covid-19 crisis, the ninth budget under the Modi government is widely expected to focus on boosting spending on job creation and rural development, generous allocations for development schemes and easing rules to attract foreign investments.

Sitharaman, had earlier this month stated that the budget for the fiscal year beginning April will be "like never before". Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said that the budget for the FY2021 beginning April will be "like never before".
