Footfall fell dramatically at Taj Mahal in 2020: Archaeological Survey

Footfall at the Taj Mahal, India's monument of love fell dramatically in 2020, the year of the pandemic. 

As per an ANI report, the monument has been witnessing a decrease in tourists, both national and international.

Agra officials of the Archaeological Sruvey of India said that tourist footfall fell by 76% in 2020 as compared to 2019.

The UNESCO World Heritage site was closed for nearly 6 months due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
