Four militants killed in 2 encounters in Kashmir's Kulgam

Four militants were killed in two separate encounters with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district on Wednesday. 

Inspector General of Police for Kashmir Vijay Kumar said the four ultras were killed during encounters in in Pombai and Gopalpor villages of the south Kashmir district.

Kumar said that one of the slain militant has been identified as Afaq Sikander, a top commander of Lashkar e Toiba.

The IGP said security forces also averted a major tragedy in neighbouring Pulwama district with the arrest of LeT associates Amir Bashir & Mukhtar Bhat. The police officer said two ready-to-use IEDs were recovered from the duo.
