The calving of the mega-iceberg A74 in Antarctica has exposed a patch of the sea floor after being buried under ice for over 50 years.

The patch was discovered by German scientists as their ship photographed the patch between A74 and the Brunt Ice Shelf, which produced the giant berg.

What's most interesting, is that the patch is teeming with wildlife! The images and videos show several sessile animals attached to stones on the sea floor. The researchers observed at least 5 species of fish and 2 species of octopuses.
