The push to include petrol and petroleum products under the GST just got stronger. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday said that the rising fuel prices is putting a burden and creating a hole in consumers' pockets. She said it is not just the Centre which has duties on petroleum price but the states charge as well and added that 41% of revenue earned goes to states as well.
