The knives are out in the Congress. The party's West Bengal chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has launched the most scathing attack on the group of rebel leaders, called the G23, saying that they have extracted their own pound of flesh when the Congress was in power and are now looking for greener pastures. In an interview to NDTV, an angry Chowdhury said that the G23 leaders are "singing praises of PM Modi as they expect the BJP to offer something to them". The rift within the Congress has widened over party's alliance with the ISF in Bengal, which senior leader Anand Sharma, a part of the G23 group, called communal.
