As India continues to set grim world record of most infections in a day, there is a glimmer of hope as well. For the past two day, the country has recorded over 70,000 recoveries with Centre attributing the trend to sustained efforts by the Modi dispensation and the state governments. More than 1.43 lakh people recovered from the coronavirus, with the data showing 70,072 discharges in the 24 hours leading up to Saturday and a record 73,642 discharges from hospitals or isolation facilities since then. According to data provided this afternoon, there were 68,584 recoveries on September 3, 65,081 on September 1.
