Global Citizen: BTS kick off event with 'Permission to Dance', event hosted by Priyanka Chopra

Fresh off their appearance before the United Nations General Assembly, BTS kicked off the 24-hour 2021 Global Citizen Festival with hit number “Permission to Dance.", in a pre-recorded performance from Seoul.

New York's Central Park hosted 60,000 fans and performers where Coldplay shared the stage with Billie Eilish and Jennifer Lopez.

Some 20,000 people were in attendance at the Paris event where Elton John "Your Song" as the massive event began on Saturday.

Priyanka Chopra had all eyes on her when she stepped up on the Global Citizen stage in Paris, as a presenter for the evening.

Rocking a dramatic blue and black floral ensemble, the actress shared a video on her Instagram handle where she said, “Here I am! Global Citizen live baby, in Paris."

"There has never been a greater need for advocacy than right now," the Bollywood star said in her live broadcast from Paris.

International advocacy organisation, Global Citizen, organised a 24-hour across the globe live event to raise awareness on variety of issues like poverty, climate change and others.

The festival features hundreds of artists, activists and advocacy organizations working together this weekend to inspire awareness, seek unity and bring about global change.
