Google has denied rumours that the ongoing global chip shortage had caused the upcoming Pixel 5a 5G smartphone to be cancelled before launch. A spokesperson for the tech giant has reportedly said that it will be available later this year around the same time as when the Pixel 4a was launched in 2020. However, the availability of the device will be limited to only the US and Japan.
