Many users of the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones have taken to the internet to complain about their smartphones bricking - that is, becoming unresponsive in a non recoverable state.
Users say that their phones are rebooting randomly, and then booting into a Qualcomm ‘Emergency Download Mode’ instead of Android.

After this, the phones are unable to be used, or rebooted back into the OS. Pixel 3 users also say that Google Support has not been of much help, because the phones are now out of warranty.
Google is yet to officially acknowledge or release any fixes for this issue.
