Govt: Over 13.8 lakh Covid-19 vaccines administered across India

In its latest bulletin on Friday, the Health Ministry said more than 13.8 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered across the country in the last 24 hours.

In a significant jump, India administered nearly 11 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccines on Thursday alone, while on Wednesday, at least 10 lakh people received the jab against Covid-19. These numbers are a remarkable increase from the earlier average of 5 lakh doses per day.

Meanwhile the Covid-19 case tally is rising. As per govt data on Friday, India reported 16,838 new Covid-19 cases and 113 deaths in the last 24 hours.
