With the season of festivities, comes the season of gifting. If you want to give a gift to both your loved ones and the environment, here are some eco-friendly ideas to consider.

Pollution is a major problem around Diwali, so why not gift air-purifying plants like aloe vera, money plant or bamboo?

Know someone who loves sipping on the go? Gift them reusable coffee mugs along with a set of reusable straws so that they never have to pick plastic again.

Personal care products often come with a tonne of plastic packaging. To skip the waste, buy some colourful shampoo bars and gift away.

A packet of seeds for the garden or a set of fresh potted herbs will leave your foodie friends elated. Rosemary bushes or Thai basil will frequently make it to the dinner table.

Finally, if you're looking for something traditional, go for 100% natural beeswax candles that are non-toxic and biodegradable and produce little smoke.
