The Covid-19 pandemic has upended the entire education system and it has created a deep gap for children from underprivileged sections of the society. A non-profit organisation based in Gurugram is trying to bridge this gap.

The Lotus Petal Foundation is providing smart devices to children who may not be able to afford them otherwise, to ensure that they can keep studying online. The NGO has helped over 300 children with tech devices such as laptops, headphones and cameras as well as Internet data packs so that children can continue studying from home.

Over the course of the lockdown, the Lotus Petal Foundation has imparted more than 3,000 hours of online education through their instructional videos, live lessons and virtual tests.
