Haryana Dy CM promises action against SDM for 'crack farmers head' order

Situation in Haryana’s Karnal turned tense after the state police cracked down on farmers protesting against a BJP meeting on the forthcoming panchayat polls chaired by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. The lathi charge by the police left several injured

Further, a video of Karnal SDM Ayush Sinha ordering cops to "crack the heads" of farmers has drawn sharp criticism from all quarters.

Meanwhile, Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik backed the farmers agitating against the three contentious farm laws and criticised the ruling BJP, demanding that CM Khattar apologise for the ‘brutal" lathi charge in Karnal’.

Further, Malik also demanded the sacking of SDM Malik after the contoversial video emerged online. 

The police however continues to maintain their stand that they used "mild force", but farmer leader Gurnam Singh Chaduni slammed the authorities for having "brutally lathi charged" peacefully protesting farmers.
