Meanwhile, Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik backed the farmers agitating against the three contentious farm laws and criticised the ruling BJP, demanding that CM Khattar apologise for the ‘brutal" lathi charge in Karnal’.
Further, Malik also demanded the sacking of SDM Malik after the contoversial video emerged online.
The police however continues to maintain their stand that they used "mild force", but farmer leader Gurnam Singh Chaduni slammed the authorities for having "brutally lathi charged" peacefully protesting farmers.
