Indian actor Anupam Tripathi who stars in 'Squid Game', recently opened up about a pep talk he had with his mother, after the Korean show's global popularity.
On 'Squid Game', Anupam plays Ali Abdul, a Pakistani migrant who is one of the players in the game. The players are debt-ridden citizens who try their luck in a survival game to win a prize money of $38 million.
After he shot to overnight fame, Anupam said his mother warned him not to get carried away with his success. She told him, "Zyaada udna mat. Paanv zameen par tika kar rakhna".

Anupam was raised in Delhi before he moved to South Korea 11 years ago to study. He eventually found his calling in acting and decided to pursue his dream.
He has starred in many K-dramas such as 'Descendants of The Sun', which starred popular Korean stars, Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo.
