The BCCI and Emirates Cricket Board signed a Memorandum of Understanding and hosting agreement on Saturday, to boost cricketing ties between the two countries. The development, which BCCI secretary Jay Shah tweeted about, may make UAE a second option for India’s home series if the Covid-19 pandemic doesn't subside in India. This means that the next season of IPL along with India's 2021 home series vs England could be shifted to the UAE if the situation remains the same. A senior BCCI source told PTI that it’s only fair that the Indian board keeps an option B ready which could be UAE. United Arab Emirates has so far done a fantastic job for creating a bio-secure bubble for the current edition of the IPL.
