A new study published by a group of scientists from the UK in the European Heart Journal reveals that vascular risks are connected to the health of our brain. Based on the study of almost 10,000 brain MRI scans, risk factors such as smoking, high blood pressure, high pulse pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol levels, and obesity were examined. The study also states that these risk factors cause a lower blood supply to the brain, and also lead to brain shrinkage.
