India's dreams of winning consecutive Junior Hockey World Cup titles were shattered after losing the semi-final clash against Germany 4-2 on Friday. The Indian team was no match for the Germans, who were relentless in the field and took a 4-1 lead at half-time.

At half-time, the six-time Junior Hockey champions Germany was leading 4-1 with 55% possession and had 16 circle entries as compared to India's five. Germany had 10 shots at goal while the hosts had only 2.
Germany will the aiming for their seventh title as they take on 2005 champions Argentina. India, on the other hand, will play France in the bronze medal playoff on Sunday. Interestingly, France had beaten India 5-4 in the group stages earlier in the tournament.
