This is a story about how an elderly mother who has been allegedly tortured by her own son and daughter-in-law. According to compliant lodged by the old lady’s daughter, Hima Das with the police, her mother was being given only one meal and she was also being tortured by Pinky, the daughter-in-law. Hima told the police that her mother was not given any medicine and was being kept in a dark room. Based on Hima’s complaint, the police reached the residence of the old lady and rescued her. The old lady has been admitted in the hospital now. The incident has been reported from a village of Biswanath, Assam.
