ICSE board exams for Class 10, 12 deferred due to Covid-19 surge

In light of the sharp spike in Covid-19 cases in the country, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations has deferred the Class 10 and Class 12 boards.

The exams, that were due to be held from May 4, have been postponed and the board will take the final decision after a review in the first week of June.

The chief executive and secretary of CISCE said that while Class 12 papers will be held at a later stage, Class 10 students will get an option to either appear in offline exams later or get evaluated on the basis of a fair and unbiased criteria that will be developed by the board.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has also cancelled Class 10th exams and deferred the class 12 exams.
