With 'Squid Game' being the latest rage on Netflix, the world has now woken up to Korean dramas. The Korean dystopian show is a mega hit, and is also bringing in big paybacks for Netflix. The 9-episode series is estimated to generate over $890 million, about 40 times more than what Netflix spent to produce it. If you liked 'Squid Game', here are the top Korean dramas on Netflix you must watch.

Vincenzo
2021 romantic drama, Vincenzo follows the story of Park Joo-hyung, who was adopted by an Italian family. He joins the mafia, after being raised in mob life in Italy. Vincenzo becomes a lawyer, and ends up becoming the mafia boss' right-hand man. If you want a classic mafia/mob story, this is certainly your go-to. The story has its serious moments, and also funny scenes, maintaining an overall light mood for the show.

Hometown Cha Cha Cha
Hometown Cha Cha Cha is a charming romantic comedy that follows a Seoul city girl who is a hot shot dentist. Shin Min-a gets fired from her practice and decides to start over in a small seaside town. While adjusting to her new, decidedly less glamorous life, she meets the neighbourhood handyman who is also the village's down-to-earth jack-of-all-trades, Hong Du-sik. Relatable characters have already made the series a hit on Netflix Philippines.

The King’s Affection
'The King’s Affection' is a secret royal romance drama that follows an abandoned female twin who disguises herself as her dead crown prince brother. Although she distances herself from everybody, she falls for her tutor, and the two become fatefully intertwined with each other.

My Name
Korean drama 'My Name' is an action-thriller that revolves around a young woman who seeks revenge, for her drug dealer father’s death. With punches and kicks to spare, and a quickening pace to go with, Ji-Woo trains to become the city's newest warrior.

Chief of Staff
Remember House of Cards? This K-drama is a lot like that. There's scheming, manipulation, illicit affairs, serious criminal activity, and a whole lot of lying to voters by the very people they put in office. This political drama will keep you on the edge throughout.

Kingdom
'Kingdom' is a horror series, set in the Joseon Dynasty era. The king is stricken with a strange illness and is presumed dead. Crown Prince Lee Chang, embarks on a journey to find the source of this mysterious plague. But turns out the King isn't dead but rather, he's turned into a flesh-eating zombie. It's kind of like, Game of Thrones meets The Walking Dead, but set in 17th century Korea. Need we say more?
