A group of researchers from the Indian Institute of Technology in Guwahati have developed an affordable antimicrobial spray coating used on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This coating will help kill the microbes when they come into contact with the equipment surface. Metal nanoparticle cocktail of copper, silver and other ingredients acts as an antimicrobial agent in the spray. The researchers have also developed a 3D printed ear guard prototype using polymer resins to make these masks more comfortable to wear for long hours.
