India handed New Zealand their 2nd consecutive loss as Rohit Sharma's men won the game by 7 wickets. The opener who scored a crucial 36-ball-55 lauded his team's effort and said that these weren't the easiest conditions but the way the Team applied itself was great.

The 34-year-old batter who feels that his spinners have been performing consistently praised the bench strength of the Indian side and went on to say that it is important for him to give the young Team freedom and the external things will take care of themselves.
