The Kanpur Test promises to have a mouthwatering end as all 3 results are still possible on the final day. That after New Zealand ended Day 4 at 4/1, still 280 runs away from the target vs India.
Things didn't begin as per plan for the hosts as India found themselves wanting at 51/5. But Shreyas Iyer backed up his hundred in the first innings with a gritty 65 in the second and steadied the innings. India needed one more push with the bat and Wriddhiman Saha was there to do that. He battled through a stiff neck and remained unbeaten on 61, helping his side declare at 234/7.
Chasing 284 on a slow track, New Zealand lost Will Young early for 2 before bad light once again forced early stumps.
