After the all 10 wickets miracle in the first innings, Ajaz Patel registered yet another milestone in record books during the second test between India and New Zealand. Ajaz broke the 41-year record of best bowling figures by any bowler against India.
The Mumbai-born Kiwi returned with 14/225 figures, breaking the record of former England all-rounder Ian Botham's 13/106 against India. Interestingly, Botham registered the record at Wankhede Stadium only in 1980.
However, the left-arm spinner missed a chance to break Richard Hadlee's best bowling figures of 15/123 by just one wicket. Currently, Hadlee is holding the record of best bowling figures for New Zealand.
