India@75: PM Modi lauds Indian athletes, says 'they have inspired generations of youth'

As India celebrates 75th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Indian Olympians who participated at the Tokyo 2020 from the ramparts of the Red Fort. 

After a historic Olympic outing, the Prime Minister invited Indian athletes as special guests for the Indpedence Day celebrations at the Red Fort.  With 7 medals in total, including one gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze medals, this was India's most successful Olympic outing.

"Join me in applauding our athletes who have brought glory to the nation at the Tokyo Games. Not only have they won our hearts, they have inspired generations of the youth", the rime Minister said.
