With a single-day rise of 28,591 cases, India's Covid tally climbed to nearly 3.32 crore on Sunday, the new cases are 14% lower compared to Saturday.
The death toll due to the viral disease shot up to over 4.42 lakh with 338 more people succumbing to it, the Union health ministry said.
At 3,84,921, active cases constitute 1.16% of total cases, while the national Covid recovery rate stands at 97.51%.
The daily positivity rate,which has been less than 3 per cent for the last 13 days, now stands at 1.87%. The weekly positivity rate was recorded at 2.17%. It has been below 3 per cent for the past 79 days, according to the health ministry.
Of the fresh Covid cases, Kerala has reported over 20,487 cases and 181 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Further, over 73.82 crore vaccine doses have been administered since the nationwide vaccination drive began earlier this year.
