Police have filed a case against 10 women for allegedly attacking a man and his family after being provoked by the barking of his pet dog in their neighborhood in Ambivili, Kalyan, Thane district, Maharashtra, on Sunday evening.

The victim, a vegetable vendor, and the accused women are neighbors who had previously had disputes over various issues. On Sunday, the vendor’s pet dog began barking, which angered the women. They reportedly rushed to his house and physically assaulted him, his wife, and daughter. The women also threw stones at the vendor’s house and damaged the property.

The vendor and his family sustained injuries during the incident. Following a complaint filed by the vendor, the Khadakpada police registered an FIR against the 10 women on charges of violence, unlawful assembly, criminal trespass, and provoking unrest with malicious intent.
