A clash broke out between two groups during a vehicle rally in Mumbai late night on January 21.

The incident took place around 10.30 pm on Sunday when a group of 10 to 12 people in cars and bikes were taking out a rally from Naya Nagar while chanting slogans in praise of Lord Ram.

According to police, a group of locals attacked the people at the rally after they burst firecrackers and raised slogans. The police immediately took action and the attackers were dispersed.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, who is also the Home Minister, Devendra Fadnavis on Monday spoke with the police commissioner early in the morning and directed him to take immediate action against the violence.

So far, 13 people have been arrested and the police are also identifying others on the basis of the CCTV footage. They will also be arrested soon, Fadnavis tweeted.
