There is high-voltage drama in the Parliament as a total of 141 MPs from both Houses, have been suspended since December 13 for protesting against the security breach. A total of 92 Opposition MPs were suspended from Parliament on Monday. A day later, on Tuesday, 49 more MPs from Lok Sabha were suspended.
After the mass suspensions, here's how many opposition MPs are lieft in the Parliament for the rest of the Winter Session.
NDTV reported that in the Lok Sabha, more than 300 MPs are with the BJP or an allied party in the 543-member House. There are now about 100 opposition lawmakers left in the Lower House after the mass suspensions.
Whereas, in the Rajya Sabha, there are now less than 100 opposition MPs left to question to ruling party, NDTV reported.
MPs suspended from Parliament on Tuesday include are Congress' Karti Chidambaram, Shashi Tharoor, NCP's Supriya Sule, the National Conference leader and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah, and Samajwadi Party's Dimple Yadav, among others.
