7 dead in Aurangabad clothing shop fire

Seven people were killed after a fire broke out in a tailoring shop at Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar on Wednesday. 

According to officials, three women, two men and two children were killed in the blaze. 

Firefighters rushed to scene after the blaze was reported around 4 am, and managed to extinguish it. 

Police said there were residents on the upper floor of the building, but the flames did not reach them. It is suspected that the victims died after inhaling smoke.

The cause of fire is under investigation, and authorities have ordered a post-mortem examination of the deceased.
