9 teachers suspended in J&K for not hoisting the Indian flag on August 15

Nine government teachers have been suspended for not hoisting the Indian flag in their schools on August 15 in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district. 

The teachers were from Middle School Batwari and Primary School Khandole 

According to the reports, a three-member committee has been set up to inquire into the matter and submit the report within 15 days.

The J&K administration  had passed orders to hoist the Indian tricolour on all buildings and schools across the union territory on August 15 as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ initiative to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence from the colonial rule.
