The Aam Aadmi Party on Monday blamed Haryana government for the pollution levels in Delhi.

Stubble burning in Punjab and Haryana has been considered one of the major factors for the rise in pollution in Delhi-NCR at this time of the year.

However, AAP spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar while addressing media said that according to the date given by the Commission for Air Quality Management stubble burning in Punjab has reduced by 50 to 67%.

She added that the stubble burning in Punjab is 500 kms from Delhi, while Haryana is 100 kms.

Kakkar added that since Haryana is closer to Delhi, the Manohar Lal Khattar government in Delhi needs to be asked what has been done to curb pollution since they came to power in 2014.

AAP also said that the air quality in Delhi has been the best in 8 years in 2023 and pollution saw a reduction of 31%.
