AAP nominates Harbhajan Singh, Raghav Chaddha for Rajya Sabha

The Aam Aadmi Party after winning 92 seats in Punjab Assembly election, has a chance to send its members to the Rajya Sabha from the state. Terms of five Upper House members from Punjab have either ended or will end soon.  
 
The AAP has nominated cricketer Harbhajan Singh, IIT Delhi associate professor Sandeep Pathak, Delhi MLA Raghav Chadha, Lovely Professional University founder Ashok Mittal and industrialist Sanjeev Arora as its nominees for the Rajya Sabha polls, party officials confirmed on Monday. 

Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh is AAP's star nominee, there were lot of speculations about him contesting the Punjab elections on a ticket from AAP or Congress. The AAP hopes he will work towards strengthening sports in the country.
 
Raghav Chadha, MLA from Delhi’s Rajinder Nagar, was the party in-charge for Punjab over the past several months. He is also AAP’s national spokesperson. At 33 years, Raghav Chadha will become the youngest Rajya Sabha MP to take oath
 
According to the party officials, Sandeep Pathak has been working with the AAP for a few years now and was part of the strategy team for Punjab polls

The last day to nominate the members is Monday and the elections will be held on March 31.
