A member of the Aam Admi Party was shot dead by assailants in Punjab's Tarn Taran district on February 29. PTI news agency reported that AAP's Gurpreet Singh was shot dead near the railway crossing between Fatehbad and Goindwal Sahib.  The assailants, who had been following him, opened indiscriminate fire on his car and fled the spot. This comes a month after another local AAP leader Sonu Cheema was shot dead at a saloon in the Jhabal area of Tarn Taran district.
