The Prime Minister Narendra Modi's office released an aerial video of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, that has now gone viral. The video, shot from PM Modi's helicopter just before he touched down at the holy site, shows the temple and the surrounding areas decked in saffron.

Domes, arches, gates and corridors of the temple have been decorated in orange and yellow marigold flowers for the much anticipated consecration ceremony.

Soon after, PM Modi walked into the sanctum sanctorumDressed in a golden kurta teamed up with a cream dhoti and patka.

The prime minister then took ‘sankalp’ before leading the 'pran pratishtha' ceremony in the presence of thousands of guests. He is the 'pradhan yajman' or main host of the ritual that symbolises breathing of life into a statue and making it holy.
