After Delhi, elevator crash in Greater Noida: one person killed, say police

A day after 3 people died allegedly in an elevator crash in Delhi, a similar deadly incident took place in nearby Greater Noida.

A 28-year-old died allegedly after a temporary lift at an under-construction building crashed on 9 January 2023. The victim was identified as Ritik Rathore, an engineer working with a private company.

The incident occurred during removal of a temporary lift from the 25th floor of an under-construction building, police said.

On 8 January 2023, a lift had crashed at a chewing tobacco factory in Delhi, allegedly leading to the death of 3 persons, and injuring another.
