The air quality index (AQI) in the national capital was recorded in the 'severe' category for the fourth consecutive day.
As per the Ministry of Earth Sciences' air quality forecast agency SAFAR, the AQI in Delhi was 425 in the early morning on Friday.
Meanwhile, the AQI in Noida stood at 570 while in Gurugram it was 375, placing the NCR cities in 'critical' and 'very poor' categories respectively.

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said in a statement that a total of 34,411 pollution-related complaints were received through Green Delhi app so far.
The national capital has been recording “severe” AQI since Tuesday due to an active western disturbance that has led to less wind speed and rise in humidity.
