Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on October 11 climbed a wall while trying to enter Jaiprakash Narayan International Centre in Lucknow to pay tribute to the socialist leader on his birth anniversary.
The officials had reportedly denied permission to the party workers, citing the construction work at the centre.
"The government's power is nothing compared to that of the people. I am sad that police have been deployed to stop us.
People of the state must know who is stopping us.
This is the museum that tells the story of Jayprakash Narayan's life. They (government) are shutting this. Which failure are they trying to hide?" asked Yadav.
