Terror group al-Qaeda has reportedly exhorted Indian Muslims to bring suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma to “justice”.
According to a Times of India report which quoted from Nawa-e-Ghawa-e-Hind, the Al-Qaeda mouthpiece for the Indian subcontinent, the global terror group asked Muslims in India to arm themselves against the enemy for a “defensive jihad” and participate in the “nearest jihad” in Kashmir.
Nupur Sharma has already been in the crosshairs of serious jihadi threats over her remarks on Prophet Mohammad.
The latest threat comes as the security establishment is already on a high alert for Nupur Sharma’s safety owing to the attack on author Salman Rushdie in the US for alleged blasphemy decades ago.
In June this year, the Islamic State Khurasan Province threatened to carry out terror attacks in India over Nupur Sharma’s remark.
