Amid spate of target killings in the valley, Kashmiri Pandits begin to leave for Jammu

Kashmiri Pandits living in the valley have started leaving for Jammu amid a spate of targeted killings in Kashmir. 

A viral video shows Kashmiri Pandits residing in South Kashmir's Anantnag district departing for Jammu with their belongings. According to reports, Pandit groups have decided to leave the valley within 24 hours. 

On Thursday, terrorists shot dead a bank employee from Rajasthan inside the bank premises in Kashmir’s Kulgam district, the eighth targeted killing in the Valley since May 1.

On May 31, Rajni Bala, a teacher from Jammu's Samba district, was shot dead by terrorists at a government school in Gopalpora, Kulgam. On May 12, Rahul Bhat, a clerk, was shot dead inside the tehsildar's office in Chadoora tehsil of Budgam district.
