One of the Sikh religious teachers at the gurudwara in Punjab's Moga where Amritpal Singh took shelter before surrendering has said that the Khalistan leader came to them on Saturday night.
Singh Sahib Giani Jasbir Singh Rode at Rodewal Gurdawara in Moga said Amritpal expressed his desire to surrender and address the congregation at the gurudwara on Sunday morning.
According to Giani Jasbir Singh, Amritpal Singh performed his morning rituals and prayers on Sunday before heading to the gurudwara where he explained to the people why he had delayed his surrender.
