Angry with God, man vandalises 'Shivling' in Indore; arrested

A man identified as Gajju Chauhan was arrested for vandalising a 'Shivling' and tearing the poster of Lord Shiva placed in a temple in Madhya Pradesh's Indore district. 

Police reported that the accused committed this incident in an inebriated state. This incident took place on the night of January 29. The temple is located in Kotwali Police Station area in the district. 

This incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the temple in which the accused was seen vandalising the 'Shivling' by throwing a flower pot on it. 

Tulsiram Raghuvanshi, Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Kotwali Police Station said that the accused, Gajju is a resident of Rajendra Nagar in the city. 

The police registered a case under IPC section 295 and arrested the accused. In the interrogation, it was found that the accused was angry with god and he did it in an inebriated state.
