Vistara has been forced to introduce a temporary uniform for some of its cabin crew due to the compounded issue of material supply and an increase in staff. The airlines in a statement said that in some of its cabin crew will wear black trousers and polo-tshirts with the Vistara logo instead of its standard dark purple uniform.
Vistara had announced on June 8 that it plans to add 10 planes to its fleet and hire more than 1000 people this year.
Currently, Vistara, which is set to be merged with Air India, has a fleet of 61 aircraft and a staff strength of over 5,200.
