'Basis of ties eroded by...': India rebukes China in defence ministers' meet

In the first meeting of India and China's defence ministers since the clash in Galwan Valley in 2020, Rajnath Singh delivered a strong message to his Chinese counterpart.

The Indian government told the visiting Chinese delegation on April 27, 2023, that "violation of existing agreements has eroded the entire basis of bilateral relations".

Rajnath said that "all issues at the LAC need to be resolved in accordance with existing bilateral agreements and commitments".
