After three days of searches, Income Tax Department officials left the BBC offices in Delhi and Mumbai on 16 February 2023.

The UK broadcaster tweeted that it would continue to cooperate with the authorities and hoped that the matter is resolved soon.

BBC added that its output is back to normal, and the company remains committed to serving audiences in India and beyond.

The UK broadcaster called itself a trust, independent media organisation whose journalists would continue to report without fear or favour.
