RJD leader Tejaswhi Yadav on Monday claimed that the BJP's privatisation drive is ending reservations for SC, ST, and OBC communities in the country. He was responding to Amit Shah's reiteration that the BJP government won't abolish quota in the country.

"Since everything is being privatised, the quota will also be abolished automatically. And when their MPs are talking about changing the constitution, the reservation will automatically end. They didn't even include the 75% reservation in schedule 9 of the Indian constitution," Yadav told reporters in Patna.

On Sunday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the Modi government has no intention of abolishing the reservation system.

"The BJP government has been running in this country for 10 years and has got a full majority twice. If BJP had the intention to end reservation then it would have happened by now. Narendra Modi ji has guaranteed to the Dalit, backward, and tribal brothers and sisters of the entire country that as long as BJP is there, no one can touch the reservation," Shah said.
