Bill Gates is in India to attend a ceremony commemorating 25 years of pioneering research by Microsoft's India Development Centre (IDC) in Hyderabad. During his time in the country, Gates also visited slums and interacted with several self-help groups for women.
But what cought the internet's attention was a video of the Microsoft co-founder relishing a cup of tea from a renowned tea stall in Nagpur.
In the video, Gates was seen asking for a cup of chai from Dolly Chaiwala. Dolly then flexes his moves while pouring the tea into the cup. The billionaire sipped on the 'cutting chai' and even posed with the vendor.
Gates wrote in the post, "Looking forward to many chai pe charcha."
"In India, you can find innovation everywhere you turn—even in the preparation of a simple cup of tea!" the caption read.
The video has amassed more than 10 lakh views. Scoial media users, especially Indians, flooded the comment section, calling it 'multiverse madness'. Others said they did not expect this crossover.
Dolly Chaiwala gained popularity on social media after videos of him unconventionally preparing tea went viral. His has hosted several celebrities at his tea stall in Nagpur.
