BJP leader Ajay Agrawal files police complaint against Mani Shankar Aiyar's daughter for mandir remark

A police complaint has been lodged against Suranya Aiyar, daughter of Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar, for allegedly posting 'objectionable statements on social media'.

According to ANI on February 4, the complaint was filed by BJP leader and Supreme Court advocate Ajay Agrawal who said Aiyar made objectionable remarks on different social media platforms on January 20, against the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla at the temple on January 22. 

Earlier, taking umbrage at a protest fast by Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar's daughter Suranya Aiyar against the consecration ceremony at the Ayodhya Ram temple last month, a residents' welfare association in south Delhi's Jangpura had suggested the father-daughter duo to leave the colony.

Aiyar in a video posted on Facebook, however, stated that she did not live in the colony represented by the RWA and that she did not receive any "notice" (letter) from it.
