The two phases of Lok Sabha elections are over, and the competition is turning stiff. the political parties continue to change their strategies and sometimes candidates from the constituencies.

The Bhartiya Janata Party has fielded advocate Ujjwal Nikam as a candidate from the Mumbai North Central constituency. Nikam will be replacing the sitting MP Poonam Mahajan. Mahajan won the seat from BJP in 2014 and 2019 elections.

Amid the changing political scenario and rising anti-incumbency rumors were afloat that the party would change the candidate from the constituency. Nikam will be contesting against the Congress candidate Varsha Gaikward. Mumbai North Central constituency goes on polls on May 20.

Nikam has fought many high-profile cases including the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.
